A Mountain Escape to Remember
Lilly has faced a relentless battle with long COVID, spending countless days in and out of the hospital while fighting severe complications. While her peers celebrated milestones like turning 18 and attending prom, Lilly was often confined to hospital rooms, missing many of life’s special moments.
Her journey has also meant putting her dreams of attending college on hold as she focuses on recovery. Though she appears healthy on the outside, Lilly relies on daily breathing treatments, medication, and a feeding tube to get through each day.
A Dream Reimagined
Lilly’s dream was a peaceful mountain escape over the Christmas holidays, but altitude challenges made it seem out of reach. With thoughtful planning, we found the perfect setting in Steamboat Springs, where the lower elevation made her dream possible.
Rest, Connection, and Adventure
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Teresa and Pat Taylor, who donated their beautiful condo, Lilly and her family were able to relax and reconnect. Lilly and her mom enjoyed a spa day, while her dad and brother spent time skiing, creating meaningful moments for everyone.
A Moment Above It All
The highlight of Lilly’s dream was her hot air balloon ride over the stunning Yampa Valley. Floating peacefully above the mountains, she experienced a moment of calm, beauty, and freedom she so deeply deserved.
